Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Is it true that preserved flowers are eternal?
Preserved flowers have a long shelf life, it's true, but in life, nothing lasts forever. They are natural plants treated to preserve their colour and flexibility, from months to years, but not indefinitely. Even artificial ones deteriorate over time due to dust and light. Preserved flowers, being natural plants, can deteriorate sooner, as they are more delicate and can be affected by light, humidity, dust or drafts. However, I assure you that they will retain their beauty for a long time, as precious as the first day.
- Are preserved flowers more expensive?
Nothing could be further from the truth. Although at first it may seem that the investment in preserved flowers is greater, if you do the math, in the end they are not only economical, but quite profitable due to their durability.
Preserved flowers are given special treatment, which can give the impression that they are more expensive. However, how many bouquets of roses do you need to buy to keep your favorite vase beautiful for a year? With preserved flowers, you only need to buy them once and your vase will look perfect all year long, and even longer. So, in reality, preserved flowers turn out to be much more cost-effective.
- Which option to choose, preserved flowers or fresh flowers?
Preserved flowers are my passion, just as I love a bouquet of freshly cut flowers. I firmly believe that rather than replacing each other, they complement each other perfectly!
They have different purposes.
For important events like weddings, it makes no sense to use preserved flowers, as the event only lasts one day. What to do with all those flowers the next day? It would be expensive for something so temporary.
But if you want to decorate a restaurant, your office or a hair salon, for example, and want the decoration to last all year round, without a doubt the practical and economically profitable option, as well as beautiful, is to use preserved plants.
If you can afford to have a different bunch of fresh flowers every two weeks (for financial reasons), great! I'd love that too. However, that doesn't stop you from having a beautiful bunch of preserved flowers somewhere else in your home...
But if you want to have flowers in your home all year round and you can't afford to make that investment, then a preserved bouquet or arrangement is the ideal option. You'll keep your home beautiful all year round, and even longer, and the investment will fit perfectly into your budget.
- Is it true that preserved flowers do not cause allergies?
That's right, they are hypoallergenic because, once treated, pollen is no longer a problem for allergy sufferers. This makes them the perfect gift for those who love flowers but can't enjoy them due to their allergies.
- Do preserved flowers need natural light?
No, they do not require light or water; on the contrary, it is best to avoid direct light and keep them away from humidity.
Direct light, such as sunlight coming through a window, can alter the color of plants, and humidity will damage them.
- What care should I provide to make my preserved flower arrangement last as long as possible?
Avoid direct light, do not water them and keep them away from moisture; it is also advisable to avoid drafts. These plants are designed for indoors.
When they accumulate dust, you can use a soft blow dryer to remove it; for more resistant leaves, a feather duster or a soft, dry cloth are ideal. Never get them wet.
